Although I was developing a lot of these examples in this book, Brian Shannon explains everything with better detail. He makes it easy to understand. I will walk away with a great deal of knowledge that will help more with my trading. Thank you. I enjoyed this book. The book is written in clear language and illustrated with relevant charts. It explains market cycle and how to find the current phase in the cycle. Long term traders and investors will find the book useful for learning how to get in and stay on the right side of the market, which is an essential trend following skill.
The book is equally useful for shorter term traders and it can be combined with tape reading Level 2 data for those who like fast day trading. I would not hesitate to recommend this book to all that are serious about trading.
Last but not least, the book is solid, in full colour and right font size. You will find this book on many top booklists from various individuals and on trading websites.

Other concepts of technical analysis are discussed but this is primarily a book of "how to" and not of theories about fundamental analysis of a stock or technical indicators. It primarily teaches concepts of support and resistance, breakouts and pullbacks and entries and exits. I believe all type of traders and investors can benefit by improving their entries and exits which is the main theme of this book.
I recommend this book to all who are learning to tread the markets.

And it does explain multiple time frames. I liked the ideas presented in this book very much, they are clear and well explained. I can related to those who say this is among the best books on technical analysis. Despite the apparent simplicity, I suggest reading the book couple of times. In my case, I realized that I was able to get much more from the book on the second read. See all reviews. Customers who viewed this item also viewed. Charting and Technical Analysis.
